About the role:

As a Nurse (Quality Assurance & Survey-Certification), you will conduct onsite surveys to evaluate the performance and effectiveness of health care providers including, but not limited to, hospitals, rural health clinics, nursing homes, and intermediate care facilities.

What you'll do:

  • Oversee and/or participate in monitoring, evaluating, directing State Agencies (SAs) in the day-to-day administration of the Medicare and Medicaid certification activities and data systems for one or more types of providers.
  • Manage and lead comprehensive studies and projects utilized to evaluate SAs that survey and certify providers.
  • Serve as the main focal point to State Agencies regarding training requirements.
  • Negotiate resolution of complex and sensitive survey and certification issues.
  • Prepare and oversee the development of replies to correspondence and verbal inquiries from a variety of sources, including but not limited to SAs, the public, and congressional delegations.

Experience we're looking for:

(1) Conducting onsite surveys or quality reviews to evaluate the performance and effectiveness of Long-term Care and Non Long-term Care health care providers, and providing consultation and training to state survey agencies, providers or suppliers of care and services to ensure compliance with applicable healthcare standards and regulations.
(2) Utilizing statistical or other related data to participate in the evaluation of State survey agency, health care providers or suppliers.
AND
(3) Collaborating with Federal, State, or local agencies to help ensure allegations of substandard care are identified and investigated.
