AIMS FIELD SERVICES TECHNICAN

JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for someone who loves working with customers, problem solving, and working in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment. The Field Services position is a part of the Administrative Information Management Services (AIMS) unit within the Division of Information Technology (DoIT). AIMS provides IT services to the administrative units on campus like HR, Facilities, University Health Services, and many more. The Field Services position will take the lead with warranty replacements and other projects involving computer/hardware replacements for our customers.

This position will build computers for warranty replacements and new users, and then deploy them to the user ensuring a smooth transition/on-boarding to the new computer.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
-Excellent customer service skills
-Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
-Experience with hardware from deployment to retirement
-Ability to work in a team setting

Preferred:
-Case management experience

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
Required
Drivers License - Valid and Meets UW Risk Management Standards

WORK TYPE:

This position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.

WORK SCHEDULE:
Mondays-Fridays, 8am-4pm

APPOINTMENT TYPE, DURATION:
Terminal, 12 month appointment.
This position will initially last one year, with the possibility of extending the position up to a maximum of two years and/or it may turn into an ongoing appointment based on program need and funding availability.

SALARY:
Minimum $21.64 HOURLY
