Forensics & Valuation Services Consultant

As a BKD FVS Consultant, you will develop expertise, expand your knowledge and build collaborative relationships within the practice and with clients. Further, you will have meaningful support from firm leadership for substantial professional development and perform services for clients across the country.

What You Will Do: 
 Prepare business valuation models and reports
  • Research and analyze industry, transactional, and economic information
  • Prepare for and participate in management interviews, either onsite or via teleconference
  • Assist audit teams with reviewing and testing fair value estimates
  • Assist with mathematical testing related to quality control procedures
  • Participate in investigation, litigation support and forensic consulting engagements
  • Perform detailed analysis of financial and legal documents, analysis of potentially fraudulent transactions and reconstruction of financial statements 
  • Apply technical research skills needed to gather, organize, summarize and interpret data to arrive at a conclusion

Qualifications:

A successful Trusted Advisor has: 
The ability to work independently and with team members located throughout various offices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Strong time management skills, including the ability to manage project timelines and work with different supervisors
  • The ability to propose innovative and alternative ideas.
  • The willingness to adapt to urgent situations.
  • Detail orientation and financial modeling skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college/university
  • Some travel required, up to 20%, at times with short notice; primarily related to CPE or client engagement matters.
 Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPA license
  • Desire to obtain the Accreditation in Business Valuation (ABV), Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) and/or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) credentials
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, primarily Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • TeamMate/Galvanize/IDEA/Alteryx experience
