Hardware Engineering Intern, Okyo

Your Career
We're seeking innovators - motivated, intelligent, hardworking and creative interns who can help design state-of-the-art products that do not exist today. You will work with electrical and RF engineers and focus on solving problems at every level. Collaboration is at the heart of our culture and we need interns who can communicate and work well with multi-functional teams towards achieving a common goal.
As a member of our Special Products Group, you will be responsible for developing devices with security features. The role will focus on PCB design for SoC and WiFi networking product aspects. The design development, analysis and verification will use advanced lab equipment, including high-speed oscilloscope, network analyzer, and spectrum analyzers.
You will work with a cross-functional team and apply your knowledge to develop test vehicles and prototypes for future R&D, and use industry-standard techniques to validate product design to ensure design quality and robustness.

Your Impact
  • High focus on overall design, manufacturability, serviceability and usability for PAN Products
  • Collaborate in a hardware organization with other EE and RF engineers
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and maintain productive relationships with engineering, compliance, product management, manufacturing engineering, materials and planning teams
  • Promote a healthy working environment with strong focus on individual career development
  • Support both accessory and component commodity teams to ensure electrical engineering team early engagement



Your Experience
  • Strong electrical engineering fundamentals
  • Experience with electronics
  • Understanding of product design development and testing processes
  • Teammate who brings a can-do attitude to a dynamic working environment
  • Experience making a printed circuit board preferred

To apply, you must be pursuing a 4-year Undergraduate Degree, a 2-year Master’s Degree or a Doctorate degree and returning to school in the fall. You must have the authorization to work within the United States.

The products you work on are new to Palo Alto Networks, so you are entrepreneurial and hands-on in your engineering approach while helping to craft a vision and being a key member to execute on that vision.
