XR Coaches facilitate instruction by ensuring that students are connected and engaged with their online curriculum, fostering an environment of peer-to-peer collaboration, connecting students to XR’s trained content experts, and supporting social-emotional learning. Duties will most likely include:
- Managing a classroom
- Instructing students on how to collaborate
- Engaging with school leaders and teachers
- Provide emotional and educational support to students
- Utilizing XRT best practices to create a positive classroom culture
- Connect students with a virtual content expert to support learning
- Help the students get their technology working
- Monitoring student progress
- Managing course grades
- Facilitate and manage class curriculum with the support of a virtual assistant and manager
Qualities we are looking for:
- Ability to coach students by motivating and providing guidance
- Creativity, flexibility, and patience
- Passion and excitement for education and learning
- Experience working with children in a supervised setting
- Personal accountability and reliability when scheduling and monitoring student progress
- Technology: Proficiency in online communications systems (such as Zoom); proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Strong administrative and organizational skills with effective written and oral communication
- Willing to work towards a full-time teacher’s license
Certifications/Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree
- Will apply for Emergency Teacher’s License (post-hire)
