Virtual Legal Intern
The Summer Intern would assist the Nasdaq intellectual property team with the team's portfolio management and enforcement responsibilities. More specifically, the intern would be involved in a number of matters in the areas of patent prosecution and online trademark enforcement. Hands-on training regarding patent prosecution will be given and the intern will potentially have the ability to to assist with invention disclosure reviews and drafting of patent prosecution documents.
Role Requirements:
- The ideal candidate should have a background (undergraduate) in computer science, electrical engineering or physics
- Curious and with a strong interest in both the technical and the legal field incl. a demonstrated interest in intellectual property law
- Strong performance at law school
Project Overview:
- Drafting filings for the USPTO in patent matters.
- Assisting in online trademark enforcement matters.
- Other appropriate intellectual property matters that may present themselves.
