Marketing and Communications Internship

DMC Insurance is looking for an aspiring marketer who is creative and process-oriented to assist our Marketing team. The DMC Marketing organization is a fast-paced, highly collaborative team. We are looking for talent who can bring our program a fresh perspective and passion for creative solutions. This role will have exposure to all aspects of a comprehensive high-touch marketing program, including, but not limited to: content creation for both digital and print mediums, event management, and personalized marketing efforts. The primary responsibilities of this position will be to develop and design website content and assist with the creation and implementation of new processes to help our department.
Location: DMC Headquarters, 10500 Crosspoint Blvd, Indianapolis, IN
Duration: Spring 2022 with the potential to be extended
Average Hours: TBD, approximately 15-20 hours per week
Job duties:
·        Develop content for updates and events page on DMC Insurance’s website and assist with messaging creation for other projects as designated
·        Research marketing asset management programs and summarize findings to be considered for implementation by the department
·        Manage the marketing collateral tracker – create descriptions of content, review usability, and update with new assets as applicable
·        Create an inventory system for promotional items and marketing material storage
·        Assist in the development of a client gift request / tracking process
·        Organize media assets (video/photo/image) to improve team utilization
·        Assist in the documentation of brand guidelines
·        Assist with event and conference preparation as needed
·        Current undergraduate student seeking a bachelor’s degrees in marketing, communications, English, advertising, or other related majors at an accredited university
·        Business majors with a minor in one of the above will also be considered
·        Strong verbal and written communicator
·        Have an eye for recognizing and proposing great design elements
·        Experience with web editor or content management systems (CMS) or basic HTML knowledge
·        Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
·        Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
·        Collaborative spirit and strong interpersonal skills
·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
·        Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud and/or graphic design skills is a plus
