Summer 2022 Utility Technologies Internship

PSEG is seeking a summer intern to work with the Smart Ops Technology; Utility Technologies group in Clifton, NJ
This position will be Hybrid – in-person and remote (Subject to change based on safety/CDC guideline)

Job Responsibilities

  •  •   Collaborate with GIS Supervisor, Engineering and Clerical Departments to ensure proper record keeping protocols. 
  •     •   Identify and resolve field validation conflicts with GIS Supervisor and various business contacts.
  •     •   Update facilities in the Electric GIS model to improve the accuracy of our Outside Plant Asset Registry within GIS.
 

Job Specific Qualifications

Required Education/Skills: The successful candidate (s) must be actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Geographic Information Systems (GIS)/Geospatial Technology, IT, or similar major. Candidate must have completed sophomore level coursework by the start of the internship program to be considered. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education, which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent.  Because this position requires travelling to various PSE&G locations, a valid driver’s license and clean driving history are required for this position.
Preferred candidates:
GPAs of 3.0 or higher, with demonstrated strong performance within the relevant coursework.
All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no benefits associated with these positions. Candidates are expected to work 40 hours per week over the summer period and as business needs warrant. We are targeting: Currently enrolled students (must be enrolled at the commencement of the internship program) Housing, transportation, immigration support will not be provided in association with these positions.
