Staff Psychologist

JOB SUMMARY AND SPECIFICATIONS
  • JOB SUMMARY
  • MHP Psychology is an outpatient mental health center that serves patients across the life span. Individual psychotherapy is the main treatment modality utilized, although family, couples, and play therapy are also offered. The center also provides a variety of psychological testing including intellectual, educational, personality, and social-emotional assessments. There are opportunities for neurocognitive assessments if the psychologist has competency in this type of testing with children and/or adults.

  • The Staff Psychologist is expected to maintain a rolling caseload to meet the needs of the center and MHP’s referring providers. The typical schedule includes coverage of MHP Psychology’s daily walk-in crisis hours, new patient appointments, follow up psychotherapy appointments, psychometry, team meetings, case management/administrative task time, and possible supervision of students. The Staff Psychologist is encouraged to participate in community outreach.
  • The center is open to applicants who are interested in part-time employment. The Staff Psychologists’ schedule would emphasize psychological testing if hired part-time.
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Professional & Technical Skills
  • Must have graduated or graduating from an APA-accredited graduate program in clinical or counseling psychology.
  • Education
  • Proof of completion of degree requirements by the start of the employment date is required.
  • License(s) or Certification(s)
  • Health Service Provider in Psychology (HSPP)
  • Other Skills or Requirements
  • Must be proficient in intellectual, educational, personality, and social-emotional assessments. Competence in neurocognitive assessments is a plus.
