Nature of Duties
·         Investigates, proposes, and implements improvements to the facility, equipment, and processes to improve SQCDME.
·         Assists assigned HPWTs in implementing and maintaining standard work and solving daily engineering/production issues.
·         Participates in continuous improvement team (CIT) activities and drives approved SQCDME ideas/suggestions to completion.
·         Develops and validates production processes, generating process documentation for critical assembly processes.
·         Actively participates in and supports PPS, cost reduction, warranty reduction, Six Sigma, lean, just-in-time, internal audit and other plant initiatives.
·         Designs and procures assembly aides and fixtures.
·         Reviews proposed engineering designs for manufacturing feasibility and recommend revisions as necessary to ensure Design for Assembly.
·         Plans for and supports production implementation of new product introductions necessitated by design changes.
·         Identifies projects, generates cost estimates, justifies projects for inclusion in proposed capital and expense budgets. Projects include implementation, budgeting and schedule planning to complete the project on-time and in budget.
·         Develops, proposes, and implements Capital Budget projects.
·         Keep internal/external customers, managers, and peers informed of work progress, activities, problems, or opportunities of which they should be aware.

Qualifications
  • A current College or University student at an accredited institution.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, including the ability to formulate and communicate abstract concepts clearly. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in use of personal computers and contemporary office productivity software.
