Corporate Staff Accountant

Summary
 
As a key member of the Corporate Accounting team, the Corporate Accountant will support the Corporate Accounting Manager, Corporate Controller and other corporate office personnel. Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the monthly corporate accounting close including journal entry preparation, journal entry support, intercompany billing, and account reconciliations
  • Run queries and reports in the QAD ERP system and provide analysis on the monthly corporate office financial results
  • Review and code corporate invoices
  • Work directly with auditors in responding to audit requests
  • Assist foreign legal entities in preparation of compliance and statutory audit work
  • Reconcile Corporate Purchasing Card activity
  • Document closing procedures and related internal controls
  • Maintain company-wide finance policies
  • Prepare metrics for monthly and quarterly reporting
  • Assist with purchase accounting for new acquisitions
  • Load corporate office financial results into Planful consolidation system and prepare and run reports as necessary
  • Act as company administrator over Concur T&E platform
  • Assist in compiling data for government reporting, tax filings, and annual audits
  • Special projects as needed

Qualifications
  • Qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA eligible a plus
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work within a domestic and international teams
  • Self-starter that thrives in fast-paced environment with the flexibility to adjust to fluctuations in workload based upon changing priorities
  • Thorough attention to detail and strong analytical abilities necessary
  • Highly proficient excel skills
  • Experience with Planful or other consolidations software a plus
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
