Research Manager, Pediatric General & Thoracic Surgery

Work closely with Service Line Director and Principal Investigator(s) to provide overall administrative, fiscal and project management of Pediatric General and Thoracic Surgery Research programs within the Hospital and Institute. Lead, implement, and provide personnel management, fiscal analysis, review and reporting, compliance with appropriate regulations and, grant pre- and post-award management. Contribute to publications and presentations, participate in grant conceptualization, and data analysis.

Required Education/Experience:
- Master’s degree in scientific, medical specialty or equivalent
- Minimum three years experience in a clinical study data environment to include experience with randomized clinical trials, participation in multicenter studies and registries, observational studies utilizing electronic data capture, and other data capture systems
- Supervisory experience/skills.
 
Required Credentials:
- N/A
 
Preferred:
- PhD or advanced degree in scientific, medical specialty or equivalent.
- Experience leading data management process development and quality assurance efforts including development and implementation of standard operating procedures.
- Experience with clinical trial management systems (CTMS) and other databases including REDCap
-- Able to lead, guide, coordinate and facilitate strategic planning processes.
- Successful grant writing efforts
- Experience using continuous process improvement (CPI) methodologies
