Entry Level Police Officer The Charter Township of Redford and the Redford Township Police and Fire Civil Service Commission are accepting applications for the position of Entry Level Police Officer for the purpose of establishing an eligibility list. Starting - $47,391 1 Year - $51,447 2 Years - $55,633 3 Years - $59,947 4+ Years - $66,000 Family health insurance is offered through Blue Cross/Blue Shield HSA with the deductible funded by the Township. Both optical and dental coverage is provided. We also offer defined benefit retirement. Only completed applications will be considered. Additionally, you must pass the written test with EMPCO, Inc. and have selected Redford Township on the EMPCO website. As necessary, candidates meeting all testing and application requirements will be invited to interview with an oral board. Candidates should also be prepared to undergo a comprehensive background investigation, complete a physical with drug screen and psychological examination. Chosen applicants must meet all MCOLES requirements, complete a Field Training Program and a one year probationary period.
