Human Resources Intern (Benefits & Wellness)

Great Lakes Cheese is seeking a Human Resources Intern (Benefits & Wellness) from May 2022 – August 2022 at our corporate headquarters in Hiram, OH. Job Responsibilities

  • Research, design, and present to HR Leadership on new benefits ideas that could be implemented company-wide.
  • Work with the Total Rewards team, including Nurse Practitioner and Fitness Manager at the GLC Wellness Center, to develop impactful wellness programming.
  • Research and respond to benefits and wellness inquiries from employees with the assistance of the Total Rewards team.
  • Assist in the creation of Total Rewards communications.
  • Ad hoc benefits and wellness assignments as they arise.
  • All GLC interns are expected to perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies and procedures.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the manager

Required Education and Experience

  • Current college student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Psychology, or related field.
  • Year in school: Junior/Senior.
  • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated with a high level of initiative, able to work well independently.
  • Strong attention to detail, data analysis, and reporting skills.

Working Conditions

• Work is performed in an office setting.
