Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor or Professor of Practice of Cyber Systems

The United States Coast Guard Academy (USCGA) invites applications for a Cyber Systems tenure-track faculty member at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor (contingent on experience) or to join our Professional Faculty.

Academic Faculty Salary Range: $93,915 to $161,534 for a ten-month academic year
Professional Faculty Salary Range: $84,701 to $150,378 per year (12 months)

Academic Faculty vacancy requires Ph.D. or ABD status in:
  1. Cyber Operations, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security, or Electrical Engineering or
  2. related field with specific emphasis on technical Cybersecurity noted somewhere in CV.
ABD must include a letter in application from the applicant’s major professor attesting that the candidate will complete all requirements for the Ph.D. before July 22, 2022.

Professional Faculty vacancy requires a Master’s Degree in:
  1. Cyber Operations, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security, or Electrical Engineering or
  2. a related field with specific emphasis on technical Cybersecurity noted somewhere in application

We seek a dedicated and motivated individual to join the Electrical Engineering & Cyber Systems faculty team who will support academic areas of the Cyber Systems curriculum, which includes courses in technical cybersecurity (intrusion detection, penetration testing, digital forensics, and incident response), computer networking, operating systems, and computer programming. Our new colleague will teach, mentor, and advise cadets; contribute scholarship and service, and model our Core Values of Honor, Respect, and Devotion to Duty. We seek a new member of our faculty with experience teaching and mentoring diverse student populations and/or promoting diversity initiatives.
