A server is someone who is about food, beverage, and customer service. They work well under pressure and are able to maintain a positive demeanor even during tough situations. Their role is to achieve customer satisfaction through servicing guests in accordance with Crystal Catering core values and company standards. 

Duties and Responsibilities:
*      SET-UP: Servers will have knowledge on how to read a banquet event order (BEO). They will accurately setup the event according to the details in the BEO as well as any other minor details needed for the event.
*      BACK OF HOUSE: During a formal serve event, BOH servers will be responsible for placing butters, creamers, lighting candles, and any other pre-set service required for the event. They will also make tea and water pitchers for side stations.
*      BUTLER PASSING: Servers pass hors d’oeuvres during the start of an event. Passed food will be in the kitchen where they will replenish food when you run out. Passers are required to know the contents of the food and pass with a smile.
*      CLEARING: Clearers remove any empty glassware or plates from cocktail tables, bars, banquet tables, patio, and anywhere else throughout the venue. Clearers are also responsible for restroom checks, taking out trash, spot sweeping, and mopping as necessary.
*      SERVING: Servers’ duties are to ensure quality serving during banquet dinners in tour-guiding tables, serving entrees, providing beverages (water, tea, coffee), and clearing their assigned tables. It is highly encouraged to help your neighbors when possible. All tasks must follow Crane Bay guidelines. 
*      FOOD RUNNING: Food runners transport replenishment food dishes to food stations when needed. They meet their captain at the food station, transfer the food, and return the empty dish to the dish room and return to the corridor with the BOH Captain. Food runners are to be moving with a sense of urgency when expediting food.
*      CLOSING: All staff who close an event will follow the closing procedures provided: exterior perimeter sweep, clean restrooms, remove all trash and dirty linen and stow it in their respective places, sweep and mop the venue, and wipe down all cocktail tables, couches, app walls, shot chandelier, and bar pieces.
 
Qualifications:
*   Minimum Age: 20 years
*   Previous Experience: N/A
*   Must have reliable transportation
*   Able to lift a minimum of 20lbs.
*   Able to work for extended periods of time
*   Completed training in all areas of department
*   Must be able to take direction and delegate responsibilities
*   Able to work in fast pace environment
*   Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
