Intern Strategic Initiatives: Remote Internship
Remote Internship: Strada is looking for undergraduate-level interns to work collaboratively with our strategic initiative teams on projects, communications, and organizational management. In this role, interns will coordinate across teams and departments to do research, set and manage project deadlines, coordinate conversations, draft reports, and contribute to project development. This position will provide opportunities to collaborate across departments within Strada and its nonprofit affiliates, establish a network of education and workforce professionals, build a professional portfolio of project samples, and contribute to the thought leadership of the team. Interns will need to be highly organized, deadline-oriented, adaptable, and interested in higher education and workforce issues.
Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of your manager you will:
- Work across strategic initiative teams to keep projects on task and meet project deadlines
- Stay up to date with state and federal priorities that align with strategic initiative efforts
- Draft reports on initiative progress for reporting to Strada leadership
- Monitor general inboxes
- Monitor efforts of peer organizations that align to our work
- Monitor trade news for relevant research findings
- Additional projects as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications
- Undergraduate students (any major)
- Interest in learning more about social impact, philanthropy, and higher education and workforce
- Experience and/or credentials demonstrating the following skills and competencies
- Attention to detail
- Philanthropy
- Policy research
- Time management
- Multi-tasking capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Google Suite
- Able to proactively address potential issues
- Collaborative working style and team-player attitude
- Prior experience in higher education and workforce issues is a plus
Internship is available for Fall 2021, Spring 2022 & Summer 2022 semesters. (can be flexible on how long students want to work)
Expected hours: up to 20 hours per week.
