Marketing Coordinator

DWA Healthcare Communications Group is the parent company of three agencies: Avant Healthcare, AVAIL Meeting Planning & Speaker Bureau Services, and Forefront Collaborative. These agencies partner with clients in the pharmaceutical, diagnostic, and biotechnology industries to generate rigorous scientific exchange among healthcare professionals to positively impact patient care.

The DWA Marketing Team is a collaborative and hardworking team that drives the marketing efforts of all three agencies. This team is passionate about the customer experience, brand loyalty, and supporting DWA and its network of agencies, and is seeking a remote-based Marketing Intern who can help DWA create brand awareness and drive lead generation in order to meet annual goals.

In this position, you will collaborate with the marketing team and cross-functional team members to support 2021/2022 marketing campaigns, act as our social media steward, develop social media strategies, and execute those recommendations on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. We are looking for an individual that is self-motivated and eager to jump in quickly to be immersed within the brands!



  • Plan and execute unique social media strategies for the DWA brands (DWA Healthcare Communications Group, Avant Healthcare, AVAIL Meeting Planning & Speaker Bureau, and Forefront Collaborative)
  • Work closely with the Marketing Team to align on annual marketing plans / initiatives for various customer segments
  • Create and implement social media campaigns
  • Partner with the marketing team and cross-functional teams on content generation
  • Maintain a quarterly social media calendar and monthly content marketing calendar
  • Monitor all social media accounts, identify analytical trends, and report back to the marketing team  
  • Support in additional digital marketing initiatives (advertisement and websites)
  • Help team garner insights by conducting web-based research as needed

Education / Preferred Area of Study

  • Undergraduate or recent graduate with studies in Marketing, Business, and/or Communications
  • Interest or current studies in the healthcare industry is a bonus, but not required

Skill Requirement

  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • The ability to learn quickly and work independently, as well as with a team, in a fast-paced goal-oriented environment
  • High learning agility to quickly come up to speed with each company’s values and mission, goals, and branding
  • Excellent organization, time management, and project management
  • Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Outlook will be used for communication
  • Must be comfortable with video-based communications
  • Must have reliable internet access
  • Experience in digital marketing and social media platforms
  • Experienced with LinkedIn, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram
  • Understanding of digital marketing principles and channels (e.g., SEO, SEM, email marketing)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) is helpful
