Athletic Coordinator

Love being in the gym? Looking for hands-on experience planning and implementing sports leagues and fitness activities? Become a youth development professional with the Boys & Girls Club of Boone County. Previous work with children is a plus.

Youth Development Professionals must be energetic and creative. Supervises area at all times, facilitates activities that align with the daily program schedule to create a safe and respectful area for all youth to gather and take part in structured, planned activities. Completes accurate and timely reports. Monitors and ensures member safety, equipment, maintenance, and cleanliness of program areas.

Openings at our Zionsville, Whitestown, and Lebanon Units.

Monday-Friday

After School hours 2:30-6:00 p.m.

Part-Time School-Year position

1. Prepare Youth for Success

i) Promote and stimulate program participation

ii) Provide guidance and role modeling to members

2. Program Development and Implementation

i) Effectively plan, implement and administer programs and activities with the following components involved:

a) Self Confidence

b) Self Improvement

c) Sense of Belonging

d) Good Sportsmanship

ii) Monitor and evaluate programs and activities to ensure safety of members, quality of programs and a neat appearance of assigned area

3. Skills Required

i) Creative ideas for fun and engaging youth activities

ii) Experience in working with children

iii) Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth

iv) Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment
