Recruiting and Admissions Clerk, Evening MBA (for undergraduate or graduate students)

Office Summary:
The Kelley Evening MBA Program is the #10 part-time MBA in the country and the top-ranked part-time MBA in Indiana. We serve working professionals returning to school to advance their careers. Recruiting and Admissions Clerks are part of the Recruiting and Admissions Team, staff who provide information about the Evening MBA to prospective students and assist them in applying for and enrolling in the program. We also handle and process student records, plan events, etc.
 
Job Details:
  • Serve as receptionist for the Kelley Evening MBA Program. Provide excellent customer service to current and prospective students, alumni, and others in person, via phone and email, and through other methods. Understand and accurately communicate information about the Kelley Evening MBA and other Kelley programs.
  • Update and maintain databases, spreadsheets, CRM, and other records for current and prospective students.
  • Assist in executing special events such as info sessions.
  • Work on special projects as needed by Evening MBA staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
 
Profiles of Learning:
Through their work in this position, students will become acquainted with the following profiles of learning:
  • Communicator. Student clerks serve as the "face" of the Evening MBA, communicating key program information via many mediums (phone, email, and in person). Successful clerks listen carefully to prospective and current students, seeking to understand and meet their needs. Clerks learn to convey complex ideas succinctly and professionally, and to accurately tailor their messages to different audiences.
  • Problem solver. Student clerks take a high level of responsibility for their work, reading between the lines of multi-step tasks to successfully complete them independently. Clerks collaborate with staff in the Evening MBA program and the Kelley Graduate Programs Suite on large projects like event planning, data reporting, and program marketing. 
  • Community Contributor: Student clerks are front-line customer service staff, responsible for assisting in recruiting a diverse student body for a nationally recognized graduate program.
 
Qualifications:
  • Preferred current undergraduate student in the Kelley School of Business.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and security/privacy of documents (both electronic and in hard copy).
  • Ability to multitask and balance multiple projects at once.
  • High level of professionalism.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Clear, professional telephone voice.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to collaborate with coworkers.
  • Knowledge of computers, programs, and applications, including one.IU and the Microsoft office suite, particularly Access and Excel. Knowledge of Salesforce a plus.
