Resource Room Attendant

General Purpose of Position:
As the “front-end” staff member for the Boner Center, the Resource Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring all customers, are supported in accomplishing computer based activities. Resource Room Attendant performs a variety of duties associated with maintaining and supporting computer labs. These duties include, but are not limited to, overseeing the main computer lab and Library reference area; keeping the computer classrooms clean on a daily basis, and assisting users. Resource he appropriate resources within the organization. 
 
 Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1.         Greet visitors and provide accurate and appropriate information on programs and resources. Identify specific customer needs and direct the customer accordingly;
2.         Provide direct customer service support to resource room visitors: 
a.      Serve as primary point person for resource room customer service needs. Assist customers in accessing appropriate websites, and complete necessary tasks related to employment, educational and/or personal development
b.      Assist customers with the completion of program specific self-assessments / Intake form / other documentation
c.      Assisting with software and login problems
d.      Assisting users with wireless connectivity issues
e.      Monitor computer usage to ensure appropriate use of computers
3.      Maintain classrooms/lab equipment and Wireless printing by communicating/coordinating with the IT department and other vendors responsible for managed print services to resolve printer hardware changes/issues
4.         Provide administrative support- enter and maintain customer information into the Center’s customer database
5.         Performs other job related duties as assigned or required

Qualifications:
·        Ability to communicate effectively and must possess excellent verbal skills.
·        Knowledge in conflict resolution skill and tactics
·        Must demonstrate excellent writing skills.
·        Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software and general computer usage.
·        Must be able to work in a diverse environment and with people of diverse backgrounds.
