Housing Resource Navigator

Federal Work-Study Eligible Students!

General Purpose of Position:
 The Housing Resource Navigators, under the supervision of the IndyAMP project manager, will work with Indianapolis residents to connect them with housing resources including helping them complete applications for mortgage refinance through the IndyAMP program (a city funded program to help homeowners impacted by Covid-19), mortgage assistance, rental assistance and/or legal assistance depending on their circumstances. This individual will be provided with training on housing resources and no previous experience and knowledge in this field is required.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • 60% Client Service - Be the point of contact for each resident/applicant assigned to you, respond to applicant phone messages or emails within one business day.
  • Proactively reach out to applicants to help connect them to resources, move their application along, provide assistance finding the correct document, helping them if they have technical challenges uploading their documents to the website.
  • Maintain records of all interactions with clients in Salesforce.

  • 30% Community Outreach - Research, contact and share/present information to community groups and organizations in neighborhoods most impacted by Covid-19 to help spread the word about IndyAMP and other housing resources.

  • 10% Team Meetings & Check-ins - Attend team meetings and check-ins to report on activities and set and discuss progress on team goals.
