Organizational Administrative Assistant

General Purpose of Position:
The Organizational Administrative Assistant intern will support Kheprw Institute’s Program Director and Executive Director by helping to coordinate communications, scheduling, internal and external collaborations.
  
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • 80% Administrative Support - Provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the organization.
  • Reads and prioritizes emails that need responses and schedules meetings.
  • Carries out administrative duties such as typing, document creation, etc.
  • Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning administrative projects and expediting work results.
  • Exhibits polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail.
  • Supports team by performing tasks related to organization and strong communication.

  • 20% Team Meetings & Check-ins - Attend team meetings and check-ins to report on activities and set and discuss progress on team goals. 

Qualifications:
  Required:
   - Organized and prompt/consistent communication
   - Intermediate proficiency in the use of computer programs, apps, etc.
   - Customer and community service orientation
   - Strong verbal and written communications skills -- Grammar, spelling
   - Attention to detail
   - Ability to communicate effectively in collaborative discussions with team and with clients
   - Willing to learn, a curious mind
   - Commitment to excellence
   
   Preferred:
   - Experience using Gmail, Google Docs, Microsoft Office
   - Experience with Adobe Acrobat PDFs
