Pathology Slide Filing Clerk

The IU School of Medicine, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine has one Slide Filing Clerk opening.

This role will work a flexible schedule of up to 29 hours per week while maintaining the storage of the Pathology Departments slides and blocks. This includes filing of all pathology slides and blocks as well as pulling slides from storage as needed. This position will also participate in a larger project to organize slide and block materials.  

Primary duties include:
·        Maintaining an organized filing system, in accordance with departmental policy, for all pathology slides.
·        Files records and slide in the correct location.
·        Pulls records and slides from storage as requested.
·        Returns records and slides to storage when received back.
·        Maintains patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
·        Assists with other clerical functions and duties as assigned.
