Content Creator

Federal Work-Study Eligible Students

Organization/Position Overview:
Do you enjoy creating videos, graphics and sharing compelling images on social media? Join The Milk Bank team to create content for our outreach, engagement, and fundraising campaigns.
 
The Milk Bank (TMB) is a living tissue bank similar to blood banking. TMB provides pasteurized donor human milk for premature and ill infants across the Midwest via Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) and outpatient programs. The Milk Bank strives to ensure that every child has access to safe human milk.
 
Our Content Creator works in the office collaborating with the Advancement Director and Outreach and Engagement Coordinator developing shareable content to support outreach, engagement, and fundraising strategies. Students with experience in graphic design, video production, and social media content are encouraged to apply.
 
As a part of our team, you can expect to gain an understanding of milk banking, the role of human milk and how to maintain the look and feel of a brand.

Due to Covid-19, responsibilities of this position listed below may be completed virtually to accommodate one’s needs or comfortability levels.
 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-         Aid in the development of social media content developed to educate parents about human milk, breastfeeding and chestfeeding education and public health.
-         Develop graphics or edit photos for use on The Milk Bank’s website
-         Provide innovative ideas to reach different groups of external stakeholders.
-         Create or polish presentations to display new information and ideas.

-         Students will learn to collaborate with other employees, developing the best ideas and solutions possible.
-         Students will learn to develop relationships with external stakeholders through fund development and event planning activities

Experience and Education:
-         Experience with Canva for graphic design and/or video editing.
-         Experience with and knowledge social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter
