Intern, Finance (Fall 2021)
enVista is looking for a motivated Intern to join our Finance department. The successful candidate will be working towards their BS in Accounting, Finance or a related field. The preferred candidate will have an interest in supporting the financial functions of a consulting and/or SaaS-based company. Preference will be given to individuals who previously worked as an accounting intern role or similar experience. Through this internship you will gain exposure to treasury related matters, accounts payable processing and reporting, and reconciliation of our third party payment program. Also involved with Special Projects as they become necessary.
What you will do:
- Maintain and balance accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies
- Perform week, monthly and quarterly cash and other account reconciliations
- Perform variance analyses
- Verification of bank accounts through phone calls
- Support the Credit card reconciliation process
- Assist with financial and tax audits
- Avoid legal challenges by complying with legal requirements
What you will bring:
- Associates degree or working towards BS in Accounting, Finance or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office; especially Word and Excel
- Must be detail oriented and well organized
- Must be willing to learn the business units and operational areas of enVista
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to execute under time constraints
- Action-oriented doer
- Adaptable and comfortable with change, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple responsibilities
- Able to interact and collaborate with members of the team at all levels within the organization
- Ability to work 20+ hours per week during the fall semester
- Candidates based at our Carmel office will be preferred, but this could also be a remote opportunity
