Matanky Realty Group is seeking a dedicated and self-motivated student in need of an internship opportunity in commercial real estate, located in Downtown Chicago. This internship is designed for current college students seeking a career in commercial real estate. This candidate will be assisting the sales and brokerage team with many different areas and should be eager to learn. Responsibilities may include, researching properties and property owners/tenants, making calls to gather information, assist in assembling presentation packages for new listings and business development, help seek out potential property acquisitions to meet specific criteria, and assemble spreadsheets and data to support purchase offers. The program will also give the candidate the opportunity to work with the marketing team on curating email blasts targeting potential tenants for existing listings and gather information on tenant growth and relocation plans. It is beneficial if the applicant has experience with analyzing and valuating commercial properties, but it is not required. No specific college major is required, however, a background in business/finance with a concentration in real estate is preferred. Hours will include at minimum 10 hours a week, subject to change. Additional characteristics in the ideal candidate would include, being detailed oriented and organized, having strong analytical and problem-solving skills, advanced written and oral communication skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively, strong Microsoft, and excel experience.
