Videography Intern

General Purpose of Position:
The Harrison Center is a nonprofit arts organization that acts as a catalyst for renewal in the city of Indianapolis by fostering awareness, appreciation, and community for art and culture. The videography intern will film, edit and produce videos about the Harrison Center and its programming events. This will include marketing media and social media content. Examples can be found on our Facebook and Vimeo pages. Interns will also gain experience with the five parts of our Cultural Entrepreneurship program, which includes: see a need, take a risk, leverage resources, invest energy and network to build community. This position will also provide interns with the opportunity to test new ideas, explore new techniques, and receive essential feedback.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create content for clients by asking the right questions, problem solving, and delivering desired content.
-Film, edit, and produce videos about the Harrison Center and its events. This will include marketing media and social media content.
-Work cooperatively with other artists, interns, or participants to create work that is inspiring to all & developed from various perspectives.
-Assist with general Harrison Center activities as needed, including First Friday gallery openings.
Qualifications:
-Minimum sophomore class status
-Experience filming, editing with adobe suite, & producing. Must be able to show past projects.
-Passionate about culture and community
-Flexible
-Self-motivated
-Ability to work well in a team and independently
-Curiosity a must
