Position Title: Official
Organization: Division of Student Affairs
Department: Campus Recreation
Hourly Wage: $10.15
Average Hours/Week: 10-14, additional hours scheduled as needed Supervisor: Assistant Director of Campus Recreation
General Purpose:
The Official is a customer service position with responsibilities at Intramurals Sports events. The role of the Official is to supervise and officiate intramural games, while being responsible for enforcing rules for games, while being impartial to participants.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•      Provide sound judgement and enforcement of rules during games
•      Inform participants of rules infractions
•      Assist Supervisor with checking-in participants and reporting scores of games and competitions
•      Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and elevate to Assistant Director as needed

Qualifications
•      Candidates enrolled in Kelly Business or Health and Human Sciences preferred
•      Candidates who have previous experience in high school or college athletics, coaching, or officiating
•      Candidates must display an eagerness to learn and work with others
•      Customer service background preferred; able to interact in a positive and professional way with members and co-workers, exceeding the member's expectations
•      Basic computer proficiency
•      Upbeat and positive attitude
•      Punctuality and reliability are a must
•      Must be a current IUPUI student
•      Must be able to occasionally lift up to 45 lbs

•   How to enforce rules/policies on field
•   Able to efficiently run a game or event in the timeframe given
•   Work with participants to provide successful outcome
