Internship: executive staff for College Mentors for Kids at IUPUI
College Mentors for Kids at IUPUI is searching for 3 executive staff positions for the 2021-2022 school year. This paid internship would be for the school year with the students working together to bring mentoring to local elementary school students. Exec staff members will be expected to attend one staff meeting a week, attend activity (held weekly), and fulfill their position responsibilities. The internship pays $1000.00 - $500 at the end of first semester and $500 at the end of second semester. Starting date will align with our Virtual National Conference, held August 28th-August 30th.
We are currently seeking 3 executive staff positions:
Vice President of Programming:
- Work with elementary school partner to recruit little buddies
- Support and train a team of general managers
- Ensure mentors are trained before first activity
- Main contact for behavior and safety challenges
Vice President of Engagement:
- Create and implement a recruitment plan
- Oversee mentor interview process
- Provide on-going support for mentors and little buddies as they create relationships
- Facilitate satisfaction and feedback surveys
Vice President of Fundraising
- Create and execute a chapter fundraising plan
- Explore new ways to raise funds
- Ensure chapter budget remains up-to-date with income and expenses
- Organize logistics for fundraisers and ensure mentors understand their individual goals
