Technology Support Assistant

Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) Continuing Medical Education (CME) is responsible for providing continuing education (CE) credit to physicians and other healthcare providers on campus, at IU Health, across the state, and around the US.  

We use a wide variety of technology tools for a myriad of tasks including cloud-based software, databases, and surveys. We are looking for a couple of student workers that want to roll up their sleeves and help us get work done. We need people that can adapt and learn technologies quickly and that can multitask. Tasks will be carried out remotely until further notice. This would be valuable experience for anyone interested in leveraging web-based technology. On the most part, we use tools such as Qualtrics, web content management systems, and other cloud-based solutions.

Qualifications: excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated aptitude and interest in technology and computer work.  Understanding of MS Excel, cloud-based solutions. 

What students will learn from the position: The IUPUI Student will be trained on CloudCME database platform and Qualtrics survey tool, work on data-entry, literature research and customer and office related services. Students will learn how to be better communicators in a professional office setting by building relationships with staff members to discuss assignment details and status. Students will collaborate with staff to provide better solutions to standard work. Students will gain analytical skills by evaluating current processes and suggesting improvements. 

 

Work schedule is flexible, 10-12 hours per week; Office hours are between 7:30AM to 4:00PM, Monday through Friday.
