The Ball State University’s Applied Anthropology Laboratories is accepting applications for several Temporary On-Call Archaeological Technicians.
The Applied Anthropology Laboratories is seeking to develop a pool of on-call archaeological field technicians for use on a project-by-project basis. We have projects pending for imminent fieldwork. Join a team of experts as we Learn Work Discover!
This position will perform Phase 1, Phase 2, or Phase 3 archaeological surveys and related laboratory analysis as assigned by Director, under direction of Crew Chief, Field Director, and/or Principal Investigator.
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology, Archaeology or related field with relevant training in Anthropology and/or Archaeology. At least 120 hours of archaeological experience in Cultural Resource Management or under similar working conditions.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred qualifications: Training in laboratory analysis of prehistoric cultural materials. An archaeological field school, particularly with a pre-contact component. 200+ hours of Cultural Resource Management experience in archaeology.
