Media and Creative Assistant

Reporting to the Media and Creative Strategist, the Media and Creative Assistant supports the Office for Enrollment Strategy & Insights with the management of social media channels (Twitter/Facebook/Instagram), building social media content, appropriately implement content based on current analytical and creative trends, as well as assist with the Division of Enrollment Management’s overall creative media strategy. The Media and Creative Assistant will serve as a “first line” moderator for all ESI-managed social communities, working with the Media and Creative Strategist to appropriately escalate issues as they arise. The Media and Creative Assistant will also be responsible for light data entry, supporting enrollment partners within the Division and across campus, and other duties as assigned.

This position will have a heavy focus on the Communicator and Innovator profiles. The Communicator portion of this position will allow the student to build up experience with helping manage a social media platform within a collaborative setting. The way this student will display their skills include but is not limited to writing copy, taking photos, making graphics, and editing videos for social media. The Innovator portion of this position allows the student to grow upon their current understanding of social media. They will gain experience evaluating current trends, analyzing past post performance, and making informed decision-making. 


Availability will also be required during special on-campus recruitment events.
Required qualifications: a diverse familiarity with social media, creative content development, experience working with Microsoft Office, strong time-management skills, and attention to detail. Must be available to work at least three days per week.

Preferred qualifications: Candidates with one or a combination of the following skills will be given preference - experience working with Adobe Creative Suite, video production, photography, and students who qualify for federal work-study.
