Job Description

The Evening Reporting Centers Program is a partnership between the Department of Child Services, Juvenile Probation, and the Boys & Girls Club of Indianapolis. Through our partnership DCS/Probation refer males ages 13-18 to the Boys & Girls Club. The Evening Reporting Centers (ERC)Program is a community based program designed to provide intensive supervision, intervention, and prevention of removal from familial residence into more-restrictive setting for youth who exhibit disruptive and/or delinquent behaviors. The primary function of the ERC include intensive supervision, utilization of cognitive-behavior approach to change, and other interventions designed to prevent the removal of the child from the home or school settings, to increase community safety, and to improve family functioning.

Duties

Ø Evening Reporting Center Coordinator Ensure the safe and secure transportation of ERC members from home to their designated BGC facility and/or field trips and back home.
Ø To be a mentor and confidant to member and aid with personal questions, concerns, and life skill development.
Ø To ensure ERC members are actively participating in BGC/ERC programing.
Ø ERC staff will tutor and/or assist member with school work. Staff will maintain communication with school (if applicable), probation officer, family case manager/ referral source and parents or guardians.
Ø ERC staff shall implement daily evidence based group psychoeducational programming.
Ø  To monitor, record, report, and redirect ERC members’ behaviors and action as needed.
Ø ERC Coordinator report daily the attendance of their assigned ERC members, the programs they participated in, the activities they engage in and behavioral positives and negatives.
Ø ERC Coordinator will be given a van to use to pick up ERC members. Vans may be parked at the main office or at the ERC staffs home.
Ø ERC Coordinator must maintain the vehicles maintenance; fuel, oil changes, tires, and interior/ exterior car washes. All other maintenance must be reported to ERC Director who will coordinate the maintenance.

Requirements/Qualifications

·        ERC staff must be at least 21 years old.
·        Proof of High-school Diploma or Equivalency
·        Valid Driver’s License with Clean Record
·        Pass a Federal, DCS, National Sex Offenders, and Fingerprint background check
