2021 Spring University Recruiting Intern

Overview
 
The University Recruiting Intern will support the Spring Recruiting season events and support the planning and execution of the Summer Internship Program at Southern Glazer's.

Location: Remote (future potential to be based in Dallas or Miami).
 
Dates of Internship: February 22nd to August 6th (open to Part-time during Spring)

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Research, recommend, and implement innovative sourcing strategies to identify, attract, and hire high-quality college talent for internships and entry-level roles
  • Recruit, screen and interview interns and new graduates on assigned openings and recommend candidates for further consideration
  • Support the design and implementation of internship programs that meet the needs of the business; facilitate training for hiring managers, welcome luncheons and social opportunities for interns and stakeholders to connect and establish rapport
  • Develop and update the management trainee profile and train managers to identify suitable candidates
  • Organize and staff on-campus recruiting efforts (e.g., career fairs and interviews); participate in presentations, info sessions and career fairs on college and university campuses; engage with career development offices and students to raise awareness of Southern Glazer’s employer value proposition
  • Maintain strong relationships with college career services, key faculty, administrators, and student groups
  • Develop and monitor key metrics and costs related to the college recruiting/retention function
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
  • Currently seeking a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Communications, or similar field
  • Expected graduation of December 2021 or May 2022
  • Strong event planning and management experience
  • Effective problem solving with ability to foresee upcoming challenges
  • Comfortable communicating with internal & external stakeholders
  • Basic computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • General knowledge interviewing principles
  • Strong ability to work with team and build relationships throughout the organization
  • General knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems or CRM
