Research Assistant

The Indiana University School of Dentistry has been advancing oral health in the state and beyond since 1879, when it was founded as the Indiana Dental College. Over the past 140 years, we’ve become a national leader in preparing oral health professionals, conducting innovative research that has an impact on patients and the profession, and providing patient-centered care. This position will be helping Dr. Shukla with her research.

Job duties to include:
1)     Data collection: survey distribution, follow up and distribution of incentives and keeping records of those
2)     Exporting data into excel format, ready for analysis
3)     Data representation after analysis for dissemination 

Must be able to operate a computer and data software.

Job Outcomes:
Communication-Student will be communicating with Dr. Shukla and other faculty members involved in the data research. Will also gain skills of explaining the data.
Problem Solver-Will gain skills of working with data, and creating actionable reports based on that information.
Research experience- many positions and health sciences careers recommend or require a research background. This position will allow you to gain research skills working directly with IU faculty.
