Engineering Internship (Paid)

We are looking for an Engineering Intern to join our Technical Foam team in Fort Wayne, IN. The individual will work closely with our Application Engineer to set-up our product sampling center. The incumbent will be responsible for preparing product samples, technical data sheets, help deploy samples and develop a database to track business development opportunities. The individual will also help test material physical properties and work or developing product literature.  
 
Position Summary
Based in our Technical Foam facility in Fort Wayne, IN this newly created, highly visible, intern position will report directly to the Commercial Team and work closely with the Manufacturing Team. They will be responsible for maintaining material inventory in our Tech Foam Sample Center and a log of sampling and testing activity. They will summarize feedback from our diverse customer base to both the manufacturing and R&D teams to facilitate product development and commercialization activities. 

Specific job duties:
•   Coordinate with Inside Sales to develop the sample procedure and system
•   Inventory/warehouse set-up
•   Technical datasheet development
•   Product Datasheet and product portfolio literature development  
•   Develop material specification by foam type matrix  
•   Prepare samples, shipping & technical documents
·        Log sample requests in database
·        Deploy samples; obtain feedback; follow-up with Commercial and R&D team members
·        Work with Pourline team and Quality team to coordinate QC testing
·        Support Quality Department to run material physical property test
·        Document data; create Certificate of Analysis
 
Qualifications:
·        Currently enrolled in an Engineering Program (Chemical, Industrial, Materials, Mechanical preferred)
·        A high level of organizational skills and the ability to work independently
·        Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) are essential, along with attention to detail
·        Must possess proficient computer skills and be capable in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.)
