YMCA Preschool Teacher

Youth Worker is responsible for the care of children in the Before & After School, Camp, Preschool, and/or Play & Learn programs.
Youth Workers assists in the implementation of programming and interacts positively with parents, other staff, and school personnel to develop a trusting relationship. A Youth Worker fosters social, physical, spiritual, and mental growth and demonstrates the core values of caring, honesty, responsibility, and respect with program participants. Under the guidance of a Site Director or Team Lead, Youth Workers are responsible for directly supervising a group of 6-12 children while engaging with them in a variety of high-energy activities throughout the day.

A typical Before & After School program runs from 6:30 to 8:30am and from 3:30 to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday.
A typical Camp program runs Monday-Friday from 6:30am to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday.
A typical Preschool program can run from 8:00am to 4:00pm or 9:00am to 1:00pm, depending on location, Monday through Friday.
A typical Play & Learn program can run from 7:45am to 2:00pm and 4:00pm to 8:15pm, Monday through Friday. Saturday hours are 8:00am to 12:00pm.
Hours may vary based on school district schedules and/or YMCA Center schedules. However, flexibility may be available to accommodate staff schedules.
